CIA Director Petraeus Resigns; Cites Extra-Marital Affair

I've been avoiding this story, despite the derptastic reaction to it on the right, because I know you all wanted some time to bask in the Schadenfreude of the post-election meltdown. It's been a week, though, and the scandal has only deepened, so I'm going to have to start from a few days back. 

These comments are from the first article posted about Petraeus resigning.


So this is what Obama had on him to make him go along with the Bengazi cover-up!

Nobody died in Watergate, men died in Benghazi.

Actually, who’s to say there was an affair at all? Perhaps he made up the story, cleared it with the wife, and is using it as a pretext to get out of the Obama cabinet before the SHTF.

Everyone assumes that he had the extra marital affair. Anyone consider it might be his wife that had one? Funny how it is naturally assumed it is the man at fault. (not saying it isn’t, just noticing the trend)

It is strange that Hillary, Holder, and Petreaus are all leaving or in the process of leaving. Is it the rats fleeing the ship before the crap hits the fan or did the boss give them their walking papers? We should all be suspicious. It’s not like the Sec of Ag or Interior submitting their resignations. These are big time cabinet posts and the people who led them would have some knowledge of what happened in Benghazi.

We’re in for a bumpy four years and this Benghazi incident is about to blow up. So much for the hopes of a smooth second term.

 I think as long as he used condoms provided by the government It all ok in our new world under democrats. but if he didn’t and his girlfriend became pregnant, that would be ok as well because Obama would help them go to Planned Parenthood and schedule an abortion and then even if it didn’t work and the child survived the abortion, Obama believes that the Doctor would be able to murder the child.

And if the doctor saw Patreus and they liked each other they could get married and smoke some together. So why would he resign? They could listen to some Jay-Z.

I’ll throw out a simple explanation for the removal of Clinton, Panetta, and Patraeus.

Obama doesn’t trust the group of them after Benghazigate. Benghazigate was a consequence of Obama going nuts and now throwing them all out.

They all keep relatively quiet or signs of frustrated betrayal in their own personal fashions.

Seems consistent with the withheld behavior of those relieved in the past from his cliques/entourage.

The bodies being returned to Dover of the 4 Benghazi victims, rerouted to Andrews, so Obama could personally verify they were dead.

Seems consistent that he doesn’t have confidence in any of them.

His agenda is now international, not domestic. He’ll toss domestic issues to anybody else, provided they don’t interfere with his international aspirations.

Fox is saying Petreaus will not be required to testify at the Benghazi hearings.

General Petraeus may be facing the same fate for obvious reasons. The obama administration would undoubtedly be guilty. If this is suggested loudly and broadly enough, perhaps this potential fate can be spared. Spoil the gameplan with a little proactive defense.

What would bring it? Massive immigration of foreigners to federal lands by virtue of free settlement land grants. Watch for it. They mostly will be Muslim and likely from Palestine.
